We are ordinary people from different countries, cultures, religions and backgrounds.
We may speak different languages. We may have different beliefs, histories and opinions.
But we share one planet. One home. One future.
And we all share something deeply human: the desire to live in peace, to protect those we love, and to give our children a future without fear.
Today, across our world, innocent people are suffering. Families are being separated. Homes are being destroyed. Children are losing their childhoods. Lives are being lost on different sides of conflicts.
Every human life matters. Every innocent life lost is a tragedy.
Ordinary people should not have to pay with their lives for decisions made by those in power.
OUR MESSAGE TO WORLD LEADERS
To presidents, prime ministers, governments, politicians and all those entrusted with power:
You are here to serve the people. The people are not here to serve you.
Leadership is a responsibility, not ownership.
The Earth does not belong to any president, government or political party.
It is our shared home, belonging to humanity today and to the generations who will come after us.
The future of billions should not be decided by a few without the voices of the many.
We ask you to listen.
Listen to the mothers and fathers who fear for their children.
Listen to the families who have lost everything.
Listen to the young people who deserve a future.
Listen to ordinary people who want to live, work, love and grow old in peace.
We did not give you the Earth. We entrusted you with the responsibility to protect our future.
WHAT WE ARE ASKING FOR
We call upon world leaders and international institutions to:
- Make the protection of human life and civilians an urgent priority in every conflict.
- Pursue peaceful dialogue, diplomacy and negotiated solutions instead of further destruction.
- Respect universal human rights, human dignity and international law.
- Ensure that the voices of ordinary people are heard in decisions affecting their lives and future.
- Exercise leadership with transparency, accountability and responsibility.
- Use the world’s resources, knowledge and creativity to improve human life, reduce suffering and protect our planet.
- Protect our environment and preserve a peaceful, sustainable future for the next generations.
WE ARE NOT AGAINST ANY NATION
This petition is not against any country, nationality, religion or people.
It is not about choosing sides.
It is about choosing humanity.
We recognise the pain of innocent people on every side of every conflict.
We believe that no political disagreement should make human suffering acceptable.
Our world has extraordinary resources, scientific knowledge and human creativity.
Imagine what humanity could achieve if more of these were directed towards healing, education, health, opportunity and protecting life instead of destroying it.
